Graduate Procurement Officer (Fixed Term Contract)

We have a rare opportunity for a Graduate Procurement Officer that could be you!

Based at Dinorwig Power Station, in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales, we are looking for the right person to join our procurement team to support the operations of the business during the ongoing major plant refurbishment of Ffestiniog and Dinorwig Pumped Storage Hydro Power Stations.

As part of a small but highly dynamic and well-respected Procurement Team, you’ll work closely with our engineering, production and other business departments to ensure the Electric Mountain is always ready. You’ll be involved in a number of different projects across both power station sites, no two days are ever the same!

We invest in our staff, we will grow your skills and knowledge both in depth and in breadth, to enable you to tackle a wide variety of procurement challenges and play a key role in ‘keeping the lights on’. You are not required to have worked in procurement previously as we can help you harness your relevant degree from legal, finance, business management etc. We consider this role to be an excellent platform towards achieving CIPS status.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

This role will be on a fixed term contract basis of up to 12 months. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. Expected start date is circa 3rd of April 2023.

Security Clearance

First Hydro Company operate key infrastructure projects in the UK and may require successful applicant to undertake national security vetting
